Cardiac Sonographer - ( 260002M6 ) Description A Brief Overview: $5,000.000 sign-on bonus for eligible external hires This position serves as a registry eligible sonographer in the echocardiography laboratory and at the cardiology satellite offices. The cardiac sonographer I will be trained and must be willing to learn all aspects of an echocardiographic exam, have a basic knowledge of cardiac pathology/echo equipment and perform other duties as assigned. The cardiac sonographer I contributes skills to assist with an efficient operation of the department. What You Will Do: - Performs clinical m-Mode, 2-D, CFM, Doppler echocardiograms under supervision per lab standards. Orients to stress (treadmill and pharmacologic), 3D and strain echocardiography (where applicable) - Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn new procedures and techniques. - Orients to scanning all patient types (ICU/OR/ER) when applicable. - Seeks assistance with difficult studies. - Recognizes basic cardiac pathology and life threatening situations and intervenes appropriately. - Participates in the on-call system (if applicable). - Performs EKG's and Holter/Event monitors (if applicable). - Participates...
