Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a full-time Fee Motion Attorney with demonstrated expertise in drafting, opposing, and arguing attorneys’ fee motions in complex litigation. This attorney will play a central role in pursuing and defending the firm’s rights to attorneys’ fees in both state and federal courts. We’re looking for a strategic, tenacious litigator with a strong command of California’s fee-shifting statutes and federal lodestar principles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, persuasive in writing and argument, and eager to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fee Motion-Specific Responsibilities - Drafting detailed and well-supported motions for attorneys’ fees in both California state and federal courts - Preparing replies to oppositions with strong legal analysis and persuasive rebuttals - Arguing fee motions at hearings, including presenting lodestar justifications and addressing court inquiries - Apply statutory fee entitlement provisions, including requests for multipliers and enhancements - Working with the fee motion support team to collect time records, declarations, and documentation in...
