Contribute to a team highly engaged in all aspects of battery materials research from material synthesis, characterization, fabrication of coin and pouch cells, and testing for electrochemical performance. Contribute knowledge of battery electrolytes to design of battery cells and cell formation processes, and to analysis of cycling and aging processes. Apply advanced characterization to battery materials, particularly electrolyte. What you'll do... 5 days on site in the laboratory delivering new electrolyte blends to the team. Develop custom electrolyte blends for varying cell chemistries that improve cell performance, including capacity and durability. Work with electrolyte suppliers to develop new additives and blends for new chemistries and technical requirements.
