Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a patient and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, the position practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) for radiologic technology.Working in a computerized environment, produces diagnostic radiographs and conducts various diagnostic procedures, either independently or in collaboration with the Radiologist and/or other physician(s). Applies best practice radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff and the general public and completes required documentation and administrative tasks. Monitors the patient during the procedures including equipment performance and maintains cleanliness of examination room.
