Part-Time Account Representative

JOB SUMMARY: The Account Representative is responsible for billing and collecting a large volume of utility bills. Work involves mailing and receiving payments for water bills, data entry of bills, receiving complaints from customers and routine inquiries. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Any combination of training and experience which provides knowledge, abilities and skills in modern office clerical procedures required. Previous experience in cashier work and computer data entry required. Special Requirements: Work is repetitive and follows well-defined procedures and the general review of the Utility Billing Supervisor. Attendance is an essential job function. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of computer data entry, filing, ten-key and some accounting skills. - Knowledge of city and street directions. - Ability to be alert, pleasant and have good communication skills. - Ability to sit, stand and be confined for long periods of time. - Ability to read and write in the English language. - Ability to assist and be concerned with customer service. - Ability to communicate clearly via radio. - Ability to bend, stoop an...
