The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Shelter Program Coordinator for the Sarasota County Area Command located in Sarasota, Florida. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 2pm to 10:30pm: Job Summary: The Shelter Program Coordinator supervises the activity of a group of Housing Monitors on one or more shifts. Supervision of this group includes recruiting, managing performance, schedule approvals, training, mentoring and providing regular program feedback to the Q Life Shelter Manager. Accepts and processes residents staying in shelter overnight; receives and receipts fees received from residents; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that shelter is maintained in a neat and proper order.
