Position overview: The Senior Buyer – Tooling is responsible for identifying required tools, negotiating pricing, purchasing tools, ensuring on time delivery, and resolving quality issues. Primary Responsibilities: - Identifying Required Tools: Utilize demand reports, requisitions, and inventory min/max system to identify tools which must be purchased and when tooling is required. - Negotiating Pricing: Work with multiple sources to ensure best price/value position, inclusive of quantity buy opportunities if allowed within inventory guidelines. - Purchasing Tools: Placement, management, and receiving of purchase orders. - Ensuring on Time Delivery: Management of purchase orders to ensure on-time or expedited delivery requirements are met. - Resolving Quality Issues: Management of quality...
