Department: UHC: FMG/UHC Registration Job Summary: The PSR Float 2 travels to various clinic locations and or other clerical areas. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of all surgical patients, verifying referrals and obtaining authorization for surgeries, tests, and outpatient clinic visits, data collections, documentation, and processing within appropriate time frames. works under the supervision of a physician or licensed staff person. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of customer service experience (healthcare experience preferred) or minimum one year or medical office experience with Receptionist vocational training required. Knowledge and Skills: All activities must be conducted in a confidential, professional, and personable manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
