Job description

Job Summary: Under the supervision of Director of Support Services, is responsible for cleaning of all areas assigned and trained to clean, maintaining appropriate supplies, and facilitates rapid turnover from case to case or patient to patient, conducts room cleaning, general cleaning and office cleaning. Performs project work as scheduled, i.e. Wall washing, vents, windows, lights etc. Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique, general cleaning, standard precaution, use of personal protective equipment and safe use of chemical cleaners. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina and endurance. All other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty. Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required.
