Job description

Summary: The position requires a dynamic individual with an environmental science, biology, hydrology, chemistry, or other physical or life science background, the ability to work flexible hours (but primarily Monday through Friday), and a willingness to travel periodically. The position will be extremely active and will include a variety of field assignments related to contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation, and office work, such as the preparation of planning and reporting documents. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations is required for higher-level position grades. The overall position requires an individual who is looking to advance their career and would like to be involved with a diversity of assignments including, but not limited to, sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and air for environmental contaminants; gathering and recording environmental data; oversight of groundwater monitoring well installation; oversight of soil borings, use of global positioning systems; tabulating data; and preparing work plans and field reports.
