Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: RO Marlton - Marlton, NJ 08053Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: Day ShiftJob Summary: The Orthotics Technician is a trained member of the orthopaedic team who works with all health care professionals in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities concerning all surgical and non-surgical procedures. Key Accountabilities: Excellence in customer service, proficient in insurance verification / authorization and maintenance of patient records. Organizational skills required to maintain schedules, return phone calls and maintain stock. Essential Duties: Greets patient, informs, prepares and positions patient for procedure. Provides patient and family education. Conducts clinical interview of patients and assesses needs according to Physician's prescription. Read specifications to determine the type of device to be fabricated and the materials and tools that will be required. Applies or removes casts/splints. Make orthotic devices by bending, forming and shaping materials to prescribed specifications. Fit, test and evaluate devices on patients and make adjustments for proper fit, function and comfort.
