Description The Department of Orthopaedics and the Center for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Rochester seek applicants for a full-time faculty position as a surgeon with a clinical focus in hand and upper extremity orthopaedics. The Department of Orthopaedics has 65 clinical and 14 full-time research faculty. We are the sole orthopaedic clinicians for UR Medicine, a seven hospital clinically integrated network serving a population of close to a million patients in Western New York. The Department is organized into 9 sub-specialty divisions, and the successful candidate will join other fellowship-trained orthopaedic adult reconstruction surgeons and advanced practice providers in the Division of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Clinical activities of the position will take place in the recently constructed and “state of the art” Saunders Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance of the University of Rochester and the satellite clinics maintained by the Department. The Saunders Center is a new outpatient campus housing musculoskeletal services.
