Adjunct Faculty Life in the Oceans,: Department of Applied Sciences and Professional Studies UMGC Stateside: Location: Eglin Air Force Base, FL University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, for the Biology program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Course Schedule: Teach at least one day a week; 11am - 12pm (Thursdays) No weekend teaching: Life in the Oceans (BIOL 181) An introductory study of the major groups of plants and animals in various marine environments, as well as their interactions with each other and the nonliving components of the ocean. The objective is to use scientific reasoning to make informed decisions about topics related to marine biology. Discussion covers the impact of human activity on life in the ocean and the potential uses and misuses of the ocean. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in Biology, Marine Biology, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
