JOB DESCRIPTION: Main Purpose of the Role Uses multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to manage and participate in design and development of innovative medical devices and subsystems in support of Abbott’s strategic plan. Leads and manages a team of electrical and software R&D engineers developing new products and maintaining legacy products. Manages and conducts development work as part of a major project. Oversees and performs analyses to develop design specifications and performance requirements working with senior management to ensure market compatibility. Provides technical information concerning electrical and software engineering techniques. Provides leadership and mentoring to electrical and software engineers and technicians.
