Job Description This position is responsible for providing technical support for the Yuan Laboratory at Virginia Tech to ensure seamless operations and promote a thriving research environment. The individuals report directly to Dr. Lijuan Yuan. Duties will involve performing flow cytometry to study T cell responses induced by rotavirus and norovirus vaccines in gnotobiotic pigs and other in vitro and in vivo animal procedures. Responsibilities also include data analysis, report and manuscript preparation. Required Qualifications: - PhD in Virology, Viral Immunology, Microbiology or a closely related field. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining. - Experienced with flow cytometry for study of immune cells. - Possess molecular virology or protein biology skills. - Should be enthusiastic and dedicated, have the ability and interest in learning new techniques; must be able to follow verbal and written instructions; be observant, attentive to detail, organized, efficient, and work well with others Preferred Qualifications: - Proficient in cell culture and in vitro viral techniques (infection...
