Job description

Overview The Pharmacy Inventory Clerk will work be responsible for managing the pharmacy’s inventory by receiving, stocking, rotating and assist in track of medication of supplies. The technician will assist in rotating stock to avoid product out dates, perform inventory checks, and inform the buyer of needed medications. The position also includes monitoring waste to identify areas for potential improvement and cost savings, ensuring a smooth workflow by completing all assigned tasks prior to the end of shift, and maintaining familiarity with medication formulary. Responsibilities: - Receiving Order - Receives incoming pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and other pharmacy applicable items. Checks items specification and quantity for accuracy and completeness. - Receives pharmaceuticals orders and ensures accurate linking of the barcode in the EHR and automated dispensing systems for patient safety. - Reconcile packing slips/invoices for accuracy of pricing and shipment descriptions/quantities.
