Description The Department of Music at The College of Wooster invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Applied Voice at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2022. We are looking for a broadly trained specialist in applied voice. Applicants should hold a Doctorate in Voice or Vocal Pedagogy before start date; ABD considered. We are especially interested in hiring faculty who can contribute to the intellectual vibrancy and diversity of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (21% domestic students of color and 15% international students); all applicants are expected to discuss their experience working with diverse student populations. Qualifications: The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to teach courses applied voice, class voice, vocal pedagogy, and diction. They will also direct the Opera & Lyric Theatre Workshop and maintain a record of strong artistic activity.
