Description The Department of Criminal Justice at the University of New Haven invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2023 or earlier. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A focus on such topics as administration of justice, criminal justice policy, criminal courts, prosecution and defense, judicial decision-making, sentencing, law and society, and legal aspects of criminal investigations is desirable. Our department embraces a wide range of methodological, analytic, and theoretical approaches. In addition, the faculty member will receive non-instructional credits for developing a research agenda and will engage in student advising and other activities as assigned by the department chair. Qualifications: Areas of Specialization and Preferred Qualifications: Minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or another closely related social science field.
