When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Job Description: Position Summary: The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is a 12 month post-graduate program. The program will be structured based on the goals and objectives outlined in the ASHP Accreditation Standard for PGY1 Residencies in Pharmacy. The purpose of the program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification and eligible for postgraduate year two pharmacy residency training. Emphasis is on development of skills involving optimization of medication therapy outcomes through use of evidence-based medicine and independently functioning as part of a healthcare team. There are four core competency areas of the program with associated goals and objectives: Patient Care, Advancing Practice and Improving Patient Care, Leadership and Management, Teaching, Education, Dissemination of Knowledge, Teaching, Education, Dissemination of Knowledge.
