Position: Trauma Program Coordinator Department: Ambulance: Schedule: Full Time (40 Hours): POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), assists to improve the quality of trauma care throughout the continuum of care. Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and the TPM to assess, plan, implement and evaluate trauma care. This collaboration will ensure adherence to the Trauma Program's Performance Improvement/ Patient Safety (PIPS) program through concurrent and retrospective clinical review and chart review of trauma patients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Coordinates the Trauma Performance Improvement/ Patient Safety (PIPS) program for the hospital in collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager aligned with state, regional, and national standards (e.g. American College of Surgeons trauma guidelines). Assist the Trauma Medical Director and the Trauma Program Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of the trauma team.
