Information Systems Intern

Job description

The IS Intern, under the guidance of the Information Services team, will provide support and assistance in the maintenance of the network of personal and portable computers. The Intern will serve as a team member on hardware and software deployment efforts and on major upgrade projects. Job Duties: Experience : Current student pursuing Bachelor's, Associate's, or Certification in an Information Systems field. - Assists in providing high-quality, consistent end user support services. Troubleshoots and resolves end user issues by guiding user through corrective steps. Documents, logs, escalates, and follows up on issues with end users and sites. - Utilizes computerized support tracking system to accurately and effectively track user support statistics for adherence to SLA and to allow planning for staffing levels. - Assists with network cabling issues including testing, labeling and troubleshooting from workstation locations to distribution closets. - Responsible for the maintenance of computer equipment inventories. - Develops and implements data driven performance improvement methodologies.
