Job Summary: Under the direction of a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician performs pharmacy-related functions in compliance with departmental policies and procedures and participates as an active member of the pharmacy team to provide pharmaceutical care for patients. Accountabilities include a combination of the following: Hazardous compounding as a significant portion of schedule hours, system/automation support that does not expand across the entire health system and/or purchasing or inventory control responsibility at the site level. Shift/site lead roles within their respective workplace are also considered within the Pharmacy Technician Advanced role at sites with less than 350 registered acute care inpatient beds.
