School Nurse (RN)

Job description

We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team for the school year. Hourly Rate Range: $40.00 - $49.00 per hour - In-Person - Grade Level: 6 - 8 - Estimated Caseload: Middle School, approx. 200 students Responsibilities would include: - Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff. - Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines. - Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies. - Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings. - Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs. - Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and HIPAA regulations. - Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention. - Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies.
