Description RDTS is seeking a mid-level Space Planner/Interior Designer with federal government experience to support the Bureau of Consular Affairs at the U.S. Dept of State in Washington, D.C. This position is full-time with standard office hours and 100% remote; however, candidates are preferred to have a home office within 90 miles of Washington, D.C. due to the collaborative nature of the position. This position requires frequent travel to government sites across the US. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Support Senior Space Planner and other team members as needed. Collect operational data and assist in analyzing facilities related to present and future space requirements as set forth by Program of Requirements (POR). - Review interior space requirements based on POR objectives, workflow, agency clientele, budget limitations, and growth projections. Research and evaluates findings for furniture solutions with team members. - Develop interior space requirements, applying office space use standards, interior architecture planning standards, ADA/ABA compliance, and Building Code requirements. - Develop concept and space plans using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and manual dra...
