Description Summary: The primary focus for this position is to ensure that Chicago Magnesium complies with all applicable environmental, health, Safety and security regulations. With the support and guidance of the EHS&S Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for improving the productivity of foundry employees through effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees. The EHS&S Specialist will ensure site compliance with all relevant environmental and safety related federal and state laws, coordinate/deliver facility required training, facilitate safety team and coordinate EHS audits and record keeping. Duties and Responsibilities: · Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives. · Lead environmental and/or safety committees, facilitating their activities · Identifying and assessing potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks · Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents.
