Job description

PURPOSE: The Zone Leader supports the efforts of the Supervisor to ensure the work instructions for all tasks and functions related to the process flow of product movement are followed for their respective area. This position is a peer to peer leadership role ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Performs area tasks as assigned by Supervisor. - Some work time will be spent doing the same work as peers. (i.e. picking, replenishing, shipping, packaging, etc.) - Ensure workload is distributed evenly among peers based upon the area you are responsible for. - Police respective area for compliance of 5S initiative, mis-placed product, equipment repairs/maintenance, safety hazards. - Spot audit for customer order accuracy. - Spot audit for location integrity (labeling, part #, and correct product location). - Spot audit peers' process compliance to ensure work instructions are being performed as designed. - Identify process problems and report directly to Supervisor. - Responsible for initiating peer to peer training for new employees and/or updates to process flows for current employees. - Ability to expedite and shift priorities when necessary to meet customer demand. - Keep respective area stocked with...
