Job description

Summary of Essential Functions: - Assists physicians with patient care and follow-up in a clinic setting. Duties include, but are not limited to, interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients and assisting physicians with patient exams and/or treatment. Additional responsibilities include charting and clerical work as necessary to oversee phone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies. The LVN also performs triage with patient phone calls to identify emergent and non-emergent situations. Works under the direction of a Team Lead, Coordinator, Practice Manager and Provider. Provides a variety of direct patient care, technical and clinical functions for the patient, utilizing nursing processes and functions within the URPG policy and procedure. Educational Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent. - For LVN position, graduate of an accredited LVN school of nursing required. - For Medical Assistant position, graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred. - Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
