Audiologist I, Speech and Audiology - ( 2602131 ) Description Minimum Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Audiology - Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-A), or - American Board of Audiology (ABAC) - Licensure or eligible for Audiology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Job Summary: To provide comprehensive audiological diagnosis and evaluation and to initiate and conduct habilitative and rehabilitative treatment. Knowledge/Skills/Ability: - Administers a variety of routine audiometric tests designed to determine patient's hearing range, degree, site, and nature of damage to auditory system and courses of treatment. - Differentiates between organic and non-organic hearing loss by evaluation of total response pattern and use of special tests. - Coordinates audiometric results with other diagnostic data, such as medical, educational, social, and behavioral information. - Participates in conservation, habilitative, and rehabilitative programs, including hearing aid selection and orientation, counseling, auditory training, speech...
