Job description
Position Overview: This is a private 17-bed unit (12 ICU beds and 5 open heart recovery beds) that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had cardiothoracic surgery. This includes: CABG (Coronary artery bypass grafting), MVR (Mitral valve repair/replacement, AVR (aortic valve replacement), Thoracotomies, carotids and femoral popliteal bypass. - Department: Cardiovascular ICU - CVICU - Schedule: Full-Time Days, 4 shifts per week, with a weekly rotating 39 to 40 hour per week schedule: - Monday's Tuesday's, and Friday's 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - Wednesday's 6:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Saturday's and Sunday's 6:00 am - 3:00 pm OR 7:00 am - 4:00 pm - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. - Greet patients and visitors, answer/screen/route telephone calls, files, distribute mail and performs other general clerical duties. - Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team membe...
