Description The New Referral Scheduler serves as the subject matter expert in office scheduling, working closely with external referring provider offices to build and maintain effective relationships. This role ensures accurate patient registration, including up-to-date demographics and insurance details. The scheduler coordinates the receipt of necessary medical records prior to appointments and maintains thorough documentation of referrals to support patient safety and care continuity. Responsibilities include prompt scheduling of all incoming referrals, courteous handling of incoming calls, and timely completion of interoffice communications such as telephone encounters and actions. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
