Job Title Associate Producer, Social (Weekends) Job Description: I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Associate Producer, Social contributes to audience development, programming and curation across every social platform to serve PEOPLE’s different audiences. Strong news judgment, writing/editing, video editing, creative thinking and understanding of social media strategies and industry trends are essential. We're seeking someone who is able to generate viral wins for the brand and harness PEOPLE's loyal audience while attracting new followers, whether via a viral video or news post. They report to the Associate Director of Social. The Associate Social Producer helps run a variety of platforms and manages social media priorities Thursday-Monday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. ET . They must be able to effectively work independently during part of their weekend shift. They sit in the newsroom and work closely with edit, video, PR, and other stakeholders to help distribute content and help serve our different audiences.
