Red Hat is rethinking how the automobile industry updates software in cars. Rather than adding more computing power to an automobile, let’s add wheels to a computer that we know how to ship. The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for an Automotive Functional Safety Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you’ll be coordinating work with other engineers, architects, product managers, scrum masters, and community members to create Red Hat’s first ever offering of Linux in cars. This is a new venture with a lot to discover. As an Automotive Functional Safety Software Engineer, you will be a member of an engineering team that embraces psychological safety, enabling every team member to contribute to the joint success. The team will be focusing on the engineering activities underpinning functional safety certification. Your knowledge and experience developing software products and conducting automotive functional safety certification would be extremely valuable to our continued certification and product release journey .
