Job description

Position Summary Acuren Inspection is currently seeking qualified Level II UT Techs with GUL Level I (Guided Wave) for call-out work in California. Responsibilities: - Set up and calibrate guided wave equipment for inspections based on established procedures - Perform guided ultrasonic scans on pipelines, piping systems, and tubular structures - Collect, record, and document inspection data accurately - Identify obvious indications or anomalies for review by senior personnel - Follow safety standards and job-specific procedures during inspections - Maintain and handle NDT equipment properly - Assist with job setup, site preparation, and reporting tasks - Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment - Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection - Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations - Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results - Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators - Organize and report test results - Perfor...
