Provides general and specialized eye care to patients within the full scope of Optometric practice. Works with Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmic Residents and other healthcare providers as a collaborative care provider in the co-management of patient care that affects eye health and vision. Job Description: Primary Responsibilities: - Provides optometric evaluations with referral to an Ophthalmologist as necessary. Performs comprehensive eye exams, reviewing patient's history, selecting and administering specialized tests and measurements, and administering non-medical/surgical treatments. Designs and implements individual treatment programs and selects and applies corrective/therapeutic devices. (essential) - Provides emergency and triage ophthalmic care to patients, referring patients to an Ophthalmologist when the need for specialized care is appropriate.
