Summary We are a new laboratory studying the genetic and immunological causes of human disease, with a focus on immune deficiency and immune dysregulation. We are seeking a curious, energetic, and passionate junior research technician who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving research environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive in learning, embraces challenges with enthusiasm, and values teamwork. Job Duties: - Maintain processing of blood samples from healthy donors and patients with suspected genetic diseases to isolate peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), plasma, genomic DNA, and other biospecimens. - Maintain genomic DNA extraction from saliva and buccal samples from patients. - Handle coordination of sample logistics, including delivery to DNA sequencing facilities, data transfer, and proper documentation. - Independently perform basic cell culture (expanding, aliquoting, documenting, labeling) - Assist with bacterial culture and plasmid extraction. - Assist with basic flow cytometry experiments. - Support day-to-day laboratory operations and contribute as a team player. - Assist with bacterial culture and plasmid extraction. - Order reagents for all...
