Cardiac Cath Nurse Clinician III - Galveston - ( 2602773 ) Description REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: RN with critical care and/or Cath/EP experience, intermediate care experience or two years of clinical RN experience. Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas. Cardiovascular certification such as CVRN II or higher, CCRN, RCIS, RCES preferred, however, once hired certification is required upon completion of training. JOB SUMMARY: Competent Clinician. Possesses knowledge and skill to meet standards for competent professional nursing practice as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Experienced, knowledgeable and skilled in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) and Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP Lab) procedures and equipment. Independently assists in cardiac catheterization as well as electrophysiology, vascular and interventional procedures. Competently performs emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure.
