Job DetailsJob Location: Bournewood Hospital - Brookline, MA 02467Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Shift: EveningsPosition Summary: The Intake Coordinator provides support to the Director of Admissions and has the ability to assume the role in the Director’s absence. The individual in this role completes all triage, assessment, and intake responsibilities. This role is part-time, 16 hours per week (two overnight shifts per week.) Key Responsibilities: Facilitate admissions to the hospital. Interview prospective clients and their families to collect additional clinical history and to provide information. Verify insurance benefits and gets authorizations for levels of care. Communicate with other individuals and departments within the hospital structure to facilitate admissions. Maintain census by coordinating successful admissions to inpatient programs. Perform triage, assessment and intake procedures. Maintain patient transportation funds. Call referral sources three times per day to inform them of bed availability. Perform community relations. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
