Job Title: Security Officer – 3rd Shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) Department: Safety and Security Rate: $23.00 Pay Grade: 2 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Under the supervision of the Security Coordinator, the Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring, patrolling, and enforcing security protocols at assigned Pittsburgh Water facilities including the Water Treatment Plant and ancillary facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enforce regulations designed to prevent breaches of security; exercise judgment and use discretion in deciding first response tactics. - Perform routine checks of offices, laboratories, corridors, parking lots, storage sites, and other such locations, as appropriate for each round. - Perform all necessary services to ensure the safety and protection of facility personnel and property against injury, loss, or damage from preventable causes, including, but not limited to, fire, trespass, civil disturbance, theft, acts of terrorism and sabotage. - Open, close, and secure windows and doors; check vaults, cabinets and security doors, as applicable. - Oversee visitor management at assigned Pittsburgh Water facilities; verification of visitors’ identification and assignment of v...
