Job description

The Security Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing and troubleshooting/diagnostics on access control equipment and IP based video systems including, but not limited to: electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems and intercom systems. As a security technician, projects are in highly visible environments, active and occupied projects and construction sites. This person is expected to very professional in various situations. Duties and Responsibilities: - A Security Technician may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classification ST (Security Technician) in addition to the following; - Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics, PDF drawings, and related documents associated with installation and/or service of security systems. - Lays out work and preps materials for installation. - Install cabling, mount equipment, install card readers, door contacts, mag locks, electrified strikes and integrated systems. - Functional understanding of low voltage systems, relays, normally clo...
