Department: Community & Economic Development Job Title: Director of Economic Development Salary is Commensurate with experience. Dauphin County Economic Development is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Director of Economic Development . The overall objective of the Director of Economic Development is to organize and direct programs in order to attract, retain, or expand commercial/industrial enterprise in and about Dauphin County. An employee in this position collaborates with local and regional government in promoting and brokering new or expanded industry. They represent the County at regional conferences and consortia, and in meetings with proprietors, managers, and their agents. The incumbent plans, oversees, packages, and presents to interested person the findings of pertinent research. An employee in this position reports to the County Commissioners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB: Prepares Department's mission statement and annual Team Pennsylvania Calling Program plans; identifies and elucidates County economic development strategy.
