MISSION STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. SCOPE OF POSITION: Design and implement a safe, fun, and educational sports and athletics program including, but not limited to: target sports (archery and air rifles), field sports (football, soccer, kickball, whiffle ball, etc), and outdoor games (human foosball, gaga ball, 9-square, horseshoes, etc.). EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: - High School graduate, some college preferred but not mandatory - Interest, knowledge, and skills in target sports, field sports, and outdoor games - Basic certification from N.A.S.P. preferred - Experience working with children preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: - Possess good leadership skills - Possess good verbal and written communication skills - Be able to pass a child safety background check - Be detail oriented and well organized - Must be knowledgeable in the areas of children/personnel safety, planning, problem solv...
