REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Residence Life JOB STATUS: Non - Exempt: POSITION SUMMARY: The Residence Director (RD) is a full-time, twelve-month, live-in professional who reports directly to the Associate Director of Residence Life. The mission of Residence Life at HCU is to develop a community that will enhance the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual welfare of each student. The Residence Director plays an integral role in accomplishing this mission and cultivating a residential community that honors and glorifies the Lord. The purpose of the RD role is to bring belonging to each student through programming, intentional conversations, enforcing HCU policies, and maintaining a visible presence in their areas. The RD role is essential in fostering a healthy community. QUALIFICATIONS: - Directly supervises and supports 8-12 Resident Assistants and 1 Graduate Assistant - Manages student care in a residential area (including on-call rotation, emergency responses, advising students, and administrative follow-up). - Performs administrative responsibilities for the residence hall including management of a budget and organization of housing details. - Personally e...
