Logistics Specialist

Job description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing strategic planning to achieve key business objectives in logistics operations. This role acts as a subject matter expert supporting operational best practices across supply chain, trade compliance, outsourcing, operational optimization, and tools/technologies. The individual will collect, analyze, and interpret data, and implement initiatives to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Experience in the 3PL field launching logistics programs for leading logistics sectors - Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for business and opportunity analysis - Benchmark competitive 3PL and carrier RFP/RFQ processes - Support vendor selection and overall vendor operations strategy - Review and assist in statement of work creation and contract negotiation with vendor partners - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and reduce costs - Track, analyze, and improve warehouse performance metrics such as on-time delivery and cost savings - Manage warehouse vendors to ensure order requirements are met with accuracy and timely delivery - Develop initiatives fr...
