Job Description: CNC Cutting Operator Responsibilities - Reviews 2D & 3D CAD design blueprints - Program 3 axis CNC plasma and laser cutting table utilizing Hypertherm’s Pronest offline programming software - Performs a variety of duties including grinding, de burring, cleaning of parts, cutting and removal of scrap - Selects correct cutting tips and other attachments - Sets correct controls for speed, feed rate, depth and angle, or pressure and temperature - Check geometric layout of flat patterns provided by engineering department to insure accurate part production - Measures finished work pieces to determine if they are the right size and inspect for defects. Use meters, gauges and other precision instruments - Determines sequence of operations in a program - Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes - Operates Niagra ¼” Shear - Complies with all safety rules and regulations - Operates overhead cranes to move materials and parts as needed Job Requirements: Education & Training - Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years related experience preferred (Some college coursework or technical school knowledge preferred) - Must have th...
