Classification Title: Manager, Accounting Classification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Description: The Department of Chemistry is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee finance and accounting operations for a large and complex academic department. This position manages non-grant financial activity, departmental budgeting, reconciliations, financial reporting, auxiliary and service center activity, faculty start-up tracking, foundation funds, special program revenues and expenditures, and related fiscal processes. The Accounting Manager serves as the department’s primary point of contact for non-grant financial matters and works closely with the department chair, supervisor, college budget director, UF Finance and Accounting, Procurement, Auxiliary Accounting, and other university offices to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable university, college, state, and federal requirements.
