Description PRODUCE MANAGER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Achieves desired gross profit. - Achieves desired level of productivity. - Projects sales, product movement, labor needs. - Orders product according to established guidelines. - Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines. - Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel. - Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts. - Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines. - Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies. - Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price. - Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates. - Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.). - Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age. - Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. - Ensure coolers and cases maintain appropriate temperatures - Ability to work in temperature extremes, (pro...
