Job Description Under the direction of a Supervisor, performs support tasks related to the inventorying, distributing and unpacking supplies in a JIT system. Job Responsibility: - Inventories assigned areas on a daily basis to prepare the JIT order. To assure patients/care givers have the necessary supplies to provide appropriate care (“Right items”).To assure patients/care givers have the necessary quantity of supplies to avoid run-outs while minimizing inventory expense (“Right quantity”).Stocks the clean core in each unit to assure the orderly storage of supplies (binned and labeled). - Distributes and redistributes supplies as needed, utilizing the entire hospital’s supply inventory as a “warehouse” to maintain sufficient supply levels. - Fills and delivers special departmental requisitions as directed. - Effectively communicates with personnel outside the department as needed. - Responds to Hospital disaster plans in accordance with disaster plan policy. - Fills and delivers requisitions and department orders as directed. - Informs supervisor of deviation of procedure. - Utilizes the work and safety equipment available for the use in job duties. - Participates in hospital and...
