Job description

Overview The Registered Nurse identifies patient’s needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned care span. Responsibilities:  Completes and documents infusion services assessment, plan of care, medication reconciliation, discharge information as well as all documentation required under procedure documentation; aware of coding requirements. Communicates with physician offices in order to receive correct information for coding purposes.. Demonstrates thru actions, knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for outpatient procedures in the Infusion Services Department. Aware of prerequisite labs and/or how to calculate. Implements the plan of care for patient and family. Safely administers and controls medications and narcotics; initiates I.V. therapy and maintains same. Evaluates the response of patients/families to the plan of care;...
