This position comes with a $500 sign-on bonus. Position Summary Provides Base Telecommunications System (BTS) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks in support of a base telephone (voice) switching system, Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP), and all associated flight and non-flight equipment. Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance. Duties & Responsibilities: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor - Supports inside and outside plant (ISP/OSP) tasks, to include troubleshooting, installation, modification, and removal of telecommunications systems and cabling; perform preventative maintenance tasks (e.g. inspections) - Assists Switch Technician in the DCO/RST on major cutovers, realignments, system upgrades, and VoIP. - Perform the full range of services related to the base infrastructure (install, remove, repair, mark, cutover, upgrade, and splice) - Perform installation and repair task on data (2-wire, 4-wire, DSL...
