Job description

Atlantic Health is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department at Morristown Medical Center. Required hours are 3:00PM - 11:00PM , including every other weekend. Starting rate $18.50/hr. Requirements: - Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas, including the floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, furniture etc. - Follows the department's policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization. - Cleans up major spills when necessary and responds to pages in a timely manner. - Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at the end of each shift. - Removes all trash and linen within the hospital. - Follows directions carefully for cleaning solution preparations and handling of bio-hazard materials. - Makes periodic checks for environmental needs in the assigned area. - Reports any repairs to maintenance. - Keeps abreast of changes in environmental services by attending monthly department meetings. - Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. - Position includes cleaning of bodily fl...
